America is seriously becoming divided. It does not take much of an effort to see there is a growing problem in regards to racism and illegal immigration. Comments all over the country will show you that, comments such as
“I’m ready to fight again, if it takes a revolution to take back our country, from the Mexicans that think they can simply take America as their own. Let’s get it on! America The Free for Americans only.”
I am not of Mexican decent, I don’t have to be to recognize the obvious. I look around and I see a serious problem. People of Latin decent are being profiled. You may disagree or you may agree, but it is occurring everyday. Check out the ICE and Minuteman articles if you don’t believe me. You don’t see a bunch of Canadians being rounded up like cattle to be deported. The mass majority is people of Mexican decent. People think we can simply round up all the Mexicans (Why do I say Mexicans, because illegals are being associated more often then not with people from Mexico, just listen to CNN!) and deport them (problem solved) or create a bill that forces them to create new methods in staying here. Those are not the solutions! It is very naive to think that those options, fences or even an army along the border is going to fix the problem. Those are not the solutions at all. They will just find a way back in next week! All we are doing is creating a serious racial division between people of Latin decent (both legal and illegals) and the rest. Why? Because instead of fixing the very broken system (after all, this didnt just happen over night) we are waging a war on illegal immigrants! A war is not going to stop the problem, unless we really want a revolution. The solution is for the so called politicians to FIX the darn immigratiom system. Most people say well…..they need to come here legally!!! Yaeh, well do you really think if it was that easy, we would have a problem with illegal immigration? No we wouldn’t! The current system does not offer a realistic opportunity for immigrants from Mexico to come here legally. Most are forced to wait extremely long periods of time (sometimes 10+ years) or are simply denied. That is the problem……there is no working system. The system never worked. We have had immigrants coming here illegaly as long as this nation has been a nation. It won’t change unless the system changes. Fix the system, we fix a large part of the problem with illegal immigration (not to say some won’t still come, cause they will). Fixing the system is not simply putting up a fence or deporting them! Fixing the system means creating a policy that lets Mexican immigrants obtain temporary Visas and enter the country in a realistic time frame, not 10+ years……Since the whole point they cross the border illegally (for the majoirty) is the high costs and extremely long waiting periods, not months…….years and years and years. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that allowing them to come here in a realistic time and cost fashion would solve many of our now out of control problems. 1) They woud be documented 2) They would be here legally 3) Taxes 4) Large masses wouldn’t be forced to come here illegally.
People will do anything if it means survival for them or their family. That is why Mexicans are coming here to work. For the survival of their families. That means we can spend millions on rounding them up and deporting them. A week later, they are back here in the US again. Same problem different day. We can build a fence. They will dig under it or cut through it. Same problem different day. We can station more people on the border. They will find a way around them. Same problem different day. We can create bills such as HB1804 . They will find a way around it, most likely illegally. Same problem different day. Do you see where this is going! The problem will not get fixed unless 2 things happen 1) The Mexican economy improves 2) Our politicians pull their heads from their tails and fix the darn system….The politicians need to get off their high horses, work out their childish differences and get something done ASAP.
